Mar 30, 2014  I am trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate using a USB onto my newly built computer. But every time upon getting pass the 'Install Now' button, I will encounter the dreaded 'Load Driver' pop-up, where it says 'A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. Install device drivers for Windows 7. Most of these drivers are installed automatically by Windows 7 but if this is not the case these drivers need to be installed by the user. Opening the Device Manager (available in the Control Panel) will tell the user which hardware drivers need to be installed by marking them with a yellow exclamation mark.

Hi,

During the clean installation of Windows 7, users are usually asked to install a few drivers for the internal hard disk. These drivers should be written onto a DVD disk/ USB drive and installed when prompted.

The issue here, I believe, is that you are trying to install the wrong drivers. The installation requires the internal hard disk drivers. This driver will depend on the configuration of the internal hard disk (RAID, SCSI, etc.).

Another possibility could be that some other devices are not properly recognized by the Windows 7 installation. You may try installing Windows 7 by burning the ISO to a bootable USB drive and booting the computer up from this USB drive. Here is how you may do it:
